LAKE SHASTA

The Lake Shasta experience changes hourly. In the morning fishermen roll out of bed early for a shot at the year-round fishing for Bass, Salmon, Trout, and Crappie. The waterskiing enthusiasts find a secluded cove where they can ski, kneeboard or wakeboard.

Afternoon brings out the explorer in everyone. The vacationer can wander through caves with breathtaking rock formations, or explore an old mine or just stroll down the many Forest Service maintained trails. Others may choose to just cruise on the water looking for the many beautiful waterfalls, or enjoying nature at its best. Lake Shasta is the home of several families of the Bald Eagle and the Osprey. Deer are frequently seen drinking from the cool waters as small animals scurry around the forest.

Evening brings a barbeque and the soft noises of the night. The adventure turns to reminiscing about the day's events around a campfire or sitting on the deck of your houseboat watching the stars or a little night fishing before bed.
